Shreya Choudhury

  • Future Doctors Australia program facilitator
  • UCAT 1-on-1 specialist tutor
  • Limited in-person coaching availability in Sydney

Shreya began studying medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2026, undertaking the 6 year Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree. Having successfully completed her HSC in 2025, she also sat the UCAT alongside her studies and received scores of VR - 880, DM - 880 and QR - 900, giving her a total cognitive scaled score of 2660/2700. To her knowledge, this score is the second highest score in the country for 2025.

She was given interview opportunities for 8 medical programs across the country, and was selected for a place in the medical degrees at Western Australia University, Western Sydney University, University of Queensland, University of Adelaide, Monash University and UNSW. As a result, she has developed a thorough insight into all aspects of the medical admissions process, understanding the strategies, techniques and mindset needed to become a doctor.

Growing up in Newcastle, Shreya greatly appreciates the power of learning not only the skills, but also the attitude that sets a student up for success.

“Having the right mindset is 50% of the battle, but developing this mindset is actually a learned skill.”

Hence, it is Shreya’s goal to teach her students not only the academic strategies to conquer medical admissions, but also the mental strategies to do so successfully.

Shreya’s experience in healthcare includes working in a mental health ward and in a pharmacy. She thus has seen first-hand the importance of a multidisciplinary team in healthcare, and can better recognise the role of a doctor within a team of professionals.

Shreya also has an avid interest in public speaking, debating and dance. She represented her school at several regional, state and national competitions in public speaking and debating, finding a passion for discussing social issues through these extracurriculars. In dance, she has achieved a diploma in Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance), an artistic medium through which Shreya connects to her heritage. In this way, Shreya has maintained a work-life balance even throughout busy periods of her life, and hopes to encourage her students to maintain the same.
