Date, location & method of delivery of the workshops:
The Simulated UCAT Day (SUD) Workshop is a 2-part event, first of which is a full-day program delivered either as a face-to-face event across most major cities in Australia OR as an online event run live by senior UCAT trainers. Note when selecting workshop dates: The workshop dates shown are only for Day-1. The second follow-up session is an evening LIVE online event, which takes place sometime within 5 days after day-1 session. You will be notified of the day-2 session time and date in due course and if the date will not suit you; you can opt for an alternative evening session. Hence, day-2 attendance is quite flexible.
The workshop is designed to cover fundamental techniques in navigating all five sections of the UCAT. Students will spend the day with our specialist teachers and will be able to ask questions and address any concerns they may have about the test. Those attending the in-person sessions will also attempt a full 2-hour UCAT style test, which will give them a better insight into their level of preparedness for the actual assessment. Those who will be attending the online version of the workshop, will be provided with the practice test, which they have to attempt soon after the workshop day.
The follow-up online session will be run, within a week of the full-day program. It will provide insightful and extremely valuable information about the application process into medicine and guidance for future planning strategies. Finally, we will spend some time to better explain the Medical Interview process as well as providing students with preliminary instructions on how to start preparing for this very important stage of the admission process. This forum will be an opportunity to answer any general questions that students and their parents may have in relation to the pathways into medicine.
