The Intensive UCAT Workshop is a 2-part event. The first component is a full-day program delivered as a live online event by senior NIE UCAT trainers in a group setting at your school. The second component is a 2 to 3-hour live online follow-up class, which students will attend from home.
The date of this follow-up class is currently being discussed with your school and will be confirmed via email in due course. Parents are encouraged to take part in this session.

ONLINE Training Day 1: 26th April 2026
9:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm (QLD Time)
Students will attend their school venue on 26th April 2026, from 9:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm, where the NIE facilitator will deliver a comprehensive UCAT workshop. The session will cover the core UCAT skills, preparation principles, and test strategies students need to understand early in their preparation.
Students will develop fundamental skills in all four UCAT constructs:
Your teacher will also allocate ample time to address specific questions and provide preparation strategy advice.
Following this teaching session, the school will supervise a coordinated mock UCAT test session, during which students will complete a full 2-hour UCAT mock test prepared by NIE in hardcopy format.
This allows students to experience the timing, pressure, and structure of the exam in a realistic setting.
Students will also receive the Marking, Answers and Explanations booklets so that they can review their work afterwards.
The test results will then be forwarded to NIE for detailed analysis.
The follow-up online session will provide insightful and highly valuable information about the application process into medicine, together with guidance for future planning strategies.
