Dear Prospective UCAT Candidate
If you are considering a career in medicine or dentistry, you will need to sit a compulsory entry exam known as the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) before you can apply for relevant placements in the aforementioned fields of study within the most universities.
Please note, that some pathways into medicine, dentistry, and clinical sciences may not require the UCAT ANZ. For details please refer to the websites of the universities to which you intend to apply. In order to increase your chances of getting into your chosen course, we recommend applying to all of the universities Australia-wide.
Years 10, 11 and 12: For those who will sit UCAT next year or later, consistent UCAT preparation during summer break is highly recommended as opposed to leaving it until the time when you will need to devote your full attention and energy towards the Year 11 and 12 work.
