Coming from Western regional NSW and growing up in a boarding school in Sydney, Nick has experienced a broad range of tribulations and experiences allowing him to develop a love for medicine and an understanding of the necessity for doctors in Australia, most particularly in regional, rural and remote areas. Having shadowed a cardiothoracic surgeon in 2022, Nick realised the importance for doctors in all sectors of healthcare further flourishing his love for medicine. Nick successfully sat his HSC and UCAT in 2024 being given interview opportunities from the University of Queensland, the University of Central Queensland, the University of Adelaide, the University of Newcastle (JMP), Charles Sturt University and Monash University. He was offered undergraduate places from 5 of the 6 schools thereby allowing a broad range of scope for study opportunities. Due to this, Nick has a thorough understanding of the admissions process, including both the academics and interviews, as well as the different pathways to become a doctor. Nick has a passion for teaching and passing on knowledge to younger generations due to his experience in the Australian Army Cadets alongside realising the necessity to teach younger individuals about the medical journey. Moreover, his love for music and the outdoors enables a deeper connection to the world and inclusion within a diverse range of communities.
