Are you currently studying in years 10, 11 or 12?
Are you considering a career in medicine, dentistry, or optometry?
If you have answered yes, then you may need to sit a compulsory entry exam known as UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test) before you can apply for certain universities!
The National Institute of Education (NIE) is proud to present the free information seminar all about UMAT and the undergraduate pathways into medicine and some other health science programs. During this session, we will be covering the following topics:
The undergraduate Selection Criteria
What is UMAT?
When and who can sit the UMAT
Can you prepare for the UMAT
Other selection criteria information including the interview process
This forum is an excellent opportunity for students as well as their parents to find out about the UMAT and to have their questions answered by experts who have been working in the field since 1999.
Please note that this information seminar is not a preparation workshop. If you have already attended an information seminar by the National Institute of Education OR another organisation in the past and would like to attend a preparation workshop, please visit NIE website for details about dates and events near you.
